WEST BRANCH BATTLES PAST SALEM

BELOIT, OH-The Quaker offense was blanked for the second straight game as they lost a well-pitched game against West Branch 2-0 in Beloit.

Sophomore starter and Big Dog of the Valley Week 2 Nominee Lane Rhodes threw 6 solid innings giving up 1 earned run on 3 hits while striking out 7. But the bats never got going as they could only muster 3 hits off of the West Branch starter who went the distance striking out 9.

The Quakers are now 3-5 on the season and 2-3 in the EBC. They will host these same Warriors on Wednesday at home with first pitch at 5:00 pm.
