WHITING ALL OVER AVALANCHE 11-1

STRUTHERS, OH- The Whiting Roll Offs Whiting had all cylinders firing on offense on Thursday, winning big over Avalanche 11-1.

Whiting got on the board in the first inning when Will Gubba singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.  Whiting also scored five runs in the third inning. Black and Gold batters contributing to the big inning included Corbin SevcikBen MillerGubba, and Grant Melder, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Connor Davis was the winning pitcher for Whiting. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out five. Derek Curry threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Aiden Bowser was on the mound for Avalanche. He allowed five hits and nine runs over two innings.

Whiting totaled nine hits. Sevcik and Curry all managed multiple hits for the Roll-Offs. Curry and Sevcik all had two hits to lead the team.

Tino Piccirilli went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Avalanche in hits.
