WILDCATS PULL ANOTHER COMEBACK

STRUTHERS OH- A walk-off walk led Struthers Wildcats past Niles 6-5 on Wednesday. The game was tied at five with Struthers batting in the bottom of the seventh when James DeChellis drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Struthers tied things up at five. Chance Laczko drove in two when Laczko singled.

The Wildcats put up three runs in the sixth inning. Their big bats in the inning were led by a walk by Aiden Mauro and a single by Laczko.

Laczko was the winning pitcher for Struthers. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one.

Tyler Williams took the loss for Niles. The bulldog allowed one run on one hit.

Matt Kozak started the game for the Dragons. Kozak lasted six innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out four Olindo Pezzone started the game for Struthers. The righthander lasted four and a third innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out four and walking one

Anthony Pastella led the Wildcats with three hits in four at bats.

Niles racked up eight hits on the day. Kris Hrosar and Brixton Gilmour each collected multiple hits. Niles was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Nick Hammond had the most chances in the field with six.
