WITH A REBEL YELL, CRESTVIEW BOOTS EAGLES

SALEM, OH-  The last time the Rebels were in John A. Cabas Gymnasium they walked away with their only defeat of the season.  In fact, they haven’t lost a set since setting foot in Salem the last time around.  Fast forward nearly a month later and you find a jubilant crew of young ladies celebrating a 3-set victory over United (25-8,25-13, 25-10) to take the Sectional Final Crown.  It was the Rebels’ 18th sweep of the season.

18…out of 23 possible games.

The buzzsaw that is the Crestview Volleyball Team were led on Thursday by Tess Neville’s 10 points, 8 kills, 5 digs, and 2 aces.  Brenna Auer and Molly Emch each had 11 points while Sid Rambo had 4 kills and a pair of digs.  The Montgomery (Lucy and Amelia) sisters set the pace with 30 digs collectively.

For United, Tori Tschappat filled the stat sheet with 7 points and 5 kills.  Lauren DelVichio had a half-dozen assists, and Aly Moore had 12 digs.

The state ranked (#9 in DIII) Rebels improve to 22-1 overall while the Lady Eagles finish their season at 9-15.
