Austintown-Fitch scored on a walk by Brandon Popio, a single by Derek Franken, a wild pitch during Joe Roth&#8217;s at bat, and a wild pitch during Jake Lawrence&#8217;s at bat in the second inning. Despite the loss, the Raiders did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Austintown-Fitch had 14 hits on the way to victory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Austintown-Fitch pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second Popio drew a walk, scoring one run, Franken singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs, Roth drew a walk, scoring one run, Mike Sciortino was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Luke Blasko threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Austintown-Fitch. Austintown-Fitch scored six runs in the fourth inning. The big inning for Austintown-Fitch came thanks to singles by Lawrence and Brandon Stephenson and a fielder&#8217;s choice by Eddy DiFlorio. Aiden Webb pitched Austintown-Fitch to victory. The fireballer allowed one hit and one run over two innings, striking out three. Jake Corll and Lawrence entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aidan English took the loss for South Range. The righty allowed three hits and five runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out two and walking one. Billy Skripac started the game for the Raiders. The right-hander lasted one inning, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out one and walking zero. Ross Linert started the game for Austintown-Fitch. The hurler lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out one and walking one. South Range collected seven hits on the day. Trey Pancake and Skripac each collected multiple hits for South Range. Pancake went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead South Range Raiders Varsity in hits. Austintown-Fitch racked up 14 hits in the game.
