YOUNGSTOWN SHINES AGAINST PETERS TOWNSHIP

MT. LEBANON, PA- Collin Resetar didn’t allow a single run as the Youngstown Class B Pony All-Stars defeated Peters Township 11-0 on Saturday. Resetar allowed just two hits on the day, both were registered in the final inning.

Youngstown notched five runs in the sixth inning and were led on offense in the inning with a single by Layne Rider and a home run by Hunter Krahe.

One bright spot for Peters Township was a single by Loch Willingham in the sixth inning.

Resetar got the decisive win for Youngstown. The big righty allowed just two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out 12 and walking one.

Vincent Patts took the loss for Peters Township. The pitcher went four innings, allowing six runs on ten hits, striking out six, and walking one.

Youngstown scattered 12 hits in the game. Rowan Urbach, Blake Krushinski, and Anthony Groner all had multiple hits for Youngstown. Groner, Krushinski, and Urbach each managed two hits to lead Youngstown. Youngstown was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Dylan Kelty had the most chances in the field with 12.

Youngstown will now turn their attention to the semi-finals on Sunday at 10am.
