YOUNGSTOWN, OH- Coming off a hot start against Houston, the Penguins took back to the road, this time toward South Carolina to take on the College of Charleston for a 3-game set.

Unfortunately for our Guins, they’d have to battle not only the Cougars but sickness as well.  The team had been battling an illness that seemed to make its way through the lineup after returning home, which in turn made for a long weekend on the road.  However, the trip wasn’t without its silver linings as Penguin hurler Chad Coles, and backstop, Nick Caruso earned their stripes and share of accolades over the trip.

We were able to sit down with the YSU Skipper to discuss takeaways from the series as well as a few other nuggets you’ll want to know prior to this weekend’s series against Abilene Christian.

Saddle up, and grab your flag as the Guins prepare to Fly the Y in the Lonestar State once again!
