BEAVERS BLAZE PAST MARTIN’S FERRY

EAST LIVERPOOL OH- Beaver Local’s volleyball team put on a commanding performance, making quick work of Martins Ferry in a sweeping victory to advance to the district stage of the competition. The sets ended 25-18, 25-22, and 25-19, highlighting Beaver Local’s dominance on the court.

The players for Beaver Local displayed their skills and teamwork, contributing significantly to this well-deserved victory. Aleia Evanko played a pivotal role, tallying 5 kills, 15 assists, and 5 digs, showcasing her versatility in both offensive and defensive aspects of the game. Bria Boyd orchestrated the team’s offense brilliantly with 16 assists and contributed with 3 aces, while Jacquelyn Campbell provided solid defense with 9 digs.

Jocelyn Pomeroy was a standout offensive performer, securing 13 kills, along with 4 aces and 12 crucial digs. Peyton Roberts mirrored Pomeroy’s efforts, tallying 13 kills, 4 aces, and 7 digs, adding to the team’s firepower. Damica Germanovich and Karsyn Bowyer both played key roles in defense, contributing 6 and 7 digs, respectively.

With this resounding victory, Beaver Local moves on to the district semifinals and is set to face Indian Creek. The match is scheduled for Tuesday at Steubenville, with a 6 pm start time.
