KNIGHTS TAKE A WIN FROM TWO GAMES AT PREBIS

Hoban had a busy day at the Prebis tournament on Saturday, splitting a doubleheader.

In the first game against Evergreen, Hoban’s offense came alive, leading them to an 11-4 victory. Taylor Gerring led the charge, going 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 1 run scored. Adeline Herstich contributed with a 1-for-3 performance and 3 RBIs, while Nevaeh Peters added 2 hits and scored 2 runs. Madison Shenigo and Gracelyn Schultz also drove in runs for Hoban.

In the circle, Gracelyn Schultz pitched a complete game, allowing 9 hits, 1 earned run, and striking out 10 batters.

In the second game against Mathews, Hoban struggled, falling 13-2. Madison Shenigo and Sarah Kreeger each drove in a run for Hoban, while Adeline Herstich and Gulia Scaglione contributed hits.

As far as Hoban pitching for the second game goes, Sarah Kreeger pitched 5 innings, allowing 12 hits, 3 earned runs, and tallying 2 strikeouts.
