BALLISTIC AIM IS TRUE IN WIN OVER AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- Ballistic Baseball scored early on Thursday night with 3 runs in the 2nd inning and never looked back. They scored 5 more in the 4th and added another 3 spot in the 5th. That paired with dominant pitching, only giving up 3 hits led to an 11-1 win over the Avalanche.

Ricky Telesz led the offense for Ballistic. He went 3-3 with 3 RBI. Cam Calderaro also had a good night going  2-2 with 3 RBI. Patrick Copple added 2 RBI.

Aaron Gault went 1-2 for the Avalanche and scored their only run. Conner Evans, and Peyton Olinski also added hits.

Anthony Monaco was masterful on the mound for Ballistic. He threw 4 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits and struck out 3.

CREEKSIDE BLOWS AWAY ROTH BROTHERS

STRUTHERS OH- It started out looking like a pitching duel Thursday night between Roth Brothers and Creekside. The first 3 innings were scoreless. But Creekside broke the dam in the 4th with a run, and then flooded the Roth Brothers pitching staff with five in the 5th and 4 in the 6th. Creekside’s pitching never wavered on the other end, cementing a 10-0 win.

Thomas Koch had a fantastic day at the plate for Creekside going 3-3 with  2 RBI. Grant Voytovich went 1-3 with 4 RBI.

Cam Hollobaugh got the lone hit for Roth Brothers.

Nick Rispoli got the win for Creekside throwing 5 innings of 1 hit baseball. Brady Hanson finished out the game.

Abe Bayus tossed three scoreless innings for Roth Brothers.

 

PROSPECTS COMEBACK IN BIG WAY TO BEAT ROTH

STRUTHERS, OH- Roth Brothers 18U started the game out the way they wanted to on Wednesday with a pair of runs right out of the gate in the bottom of the first.  After that, the Prospects found their groove and were able to bounce back with runs in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings en route to an 11-2 final.

Frankie Manios showed some signs of nerves early, but after a tough first, was the rock for his team.  Manios’ final line included six innings pitched, giving up 2 earned runs while scattering five hits, and striking out 6.

Offensively, Cam Kreps led the way going 4-4 with 5 RBI’s including a base-clearing 3 RBI Triple in the fifth that broke the game open for the Prospects.  Not to be forgotten, catcher Nick Guarnieri was perfect at the plate as well with 3 RBI.

For Roth, Brendon Hink went 1-3 with an RBI, while Rocco Bernadino also contributed a hit.

Colby Anderson was on the wrong side of the column pitching 4 innings, giving up six hits, six runs while walking five and striking out 5.

For his efforts, Cam Kreps was awarded the Baird Brothers Player of the Game.
