FARRELL PA- It was a hyped up showdown between two powerhouses from two different states on Saturday night. Ursuline made the short trip over the border to Farrell to test their skills. The game absolutely lived up to the billing as the two teams traded blows all the way to a 40-38 Ursuline win.

Christian Lynch was an unstoppable force for the Irish he ran for 269 yards and scored 3 touchdowns. Jack Ericson went 9/17 with 79 yards and a touchdown through the air. Ursuline out gained Farrell 434-323. The game clinching touchdown run for Ursuline came from Ty’req Donlow from 8 yards out.

Ursuline is now 3-0 and will try to keep it going in Week 4 as they host Austintown Fitch who also is 3-0 on the season.

BOARDMAN, OH-Boardman hosted the Steelers of Farrell in a Saturday afternoon clash and came away with a 67-47 victory.

Derrick Anderson had a career-high 34 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Ethan Andersen was big inside with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. Tommy Fryda had 6 points and 3 assists. Daeone Martin with 6 points, and 3 rebounds. Connor Miller added 4 points and 4 rebounds. Zach Ryan hit a long ball for 3 points to go with 4 assists. Trey DePietro, Andrew Clark and Charlie Davis all played good minutes in the win.

The win was Boardman’s 13th, they are now 13-1 (4-0) on the season. The Spartans host conference foe Howland on Tuesday in an important conference game.
