LISBON, OH- As the Fall sports schedules continue to wind down, the awards for a season’s hard work begin to unfold.  The Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference have chosen their recipients for the Boys Golf Teams in 2019.

SALEM GIRLS FALL TO MINERVA 226-206

CLEARVIEW GC- The Salem Lady Quakers came up short against Minerva on Wednesday, shooting a 226 on the round.  Kelly Hutton paced the Lady Quakers with a 46 while Lexi Miller and Paige Bailey shot 59.  Sloan Rudibaugh rounded out the team with a 62.

The lowest score on the day was Jordan Van Meter of Minerva with a 38.

BOARDMAN OUTPACES FITCH ON THE LINKS

DUCK CREEK GC- The Boardman Boys Golf Team defeated the Austintown Fitch Falcons tonight 165–175 at Duck Creek golf course picking up their six conference win on the year. Leading the Spartans was sophomore Ryan Sam with a 39, sophomore Joe Worsencroft with a 41, sophomore Luke Ryan with 41, senior Justin Jones 43, senior Dale Nitzsky 45, and senior Jimmy Goske also with the 45. The boy’s golf team is 12–0 on the year, and 6-0 in AAC conference play.

HUTTON MEDALS AS LADY QUAKERS JET PAST COLUMBIANA

SALEM, OH- The Salem Lady Quakers Golf Team (5-3) set the tone on the course Monday afternoon with a 211-220 victory over Columbiana.  Leading the way was Kelly Hutton who shot a 44 to lead the scorecard for both teams.  Columbiana’s Morgan Dunlap shot a very respectable 47 in pursuit.

The Lady Quakers also had Sloan Rudibaugh shoot a 50, followed by Paige Bailey (57), and Lexi Miller (60.)

For Columbiana, Jessica Himes (54), EmmaRae Foy(59), and Katrina Patrick (60) rounded out the Clippers final tallies.

MARLINGTON SINKS PUTTS AND QUAKERS IN EBC ACTION

SALEM, OH- The Salem Boys Golf Team took a tough loss on Wednesday evening against rival Marlington 167-201.

For the Quakers, Dylan Ulrich shot the best round with a 45, while Lane Rhodes dialed a 47.  Shooting in the 50’s were Nick Colbert (53) and Carter Reid (56.)

Salem falls to 1-4 overall and in the EBC.

SALEM GIRLS CHIP PAST LEETONIA

VALLEY GOLF COURSE- Salem’s Girl’s Golf Team (3-1) chipped their way past the Lady Bears on Monday- 208 to 261.  Finding the green early and often was Salem’s Kelly Hutton who shot a 48 on the round.  The Lady Quakers also had a pair of 53’s shot by Sloan Rudibaugh and Lexi Miller, Emma Brown shot a 54.

For Leetonia, Haleigh Brook led the way with a 57.
