TIGERS READY TO ATTACK THE FIELD IN THE POSTSEASON

NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH – The Springfield Tigers football team is currently 6-2 while on an impressive five game winning streak. To go along with that record, they are also undefeated in the MVAC and based on JoeEitel.com, they are currently the #4 seed in DVII, Region 25. If that ranking stays true, the Tigers will host a first round playoff game. However before the playoffs begin, the Tigers have two more regular season games this season. Up first for Springfield will be a tough road game as they will travel to McDonald this Friday night to take on the Blue Devils.

YSN’s own, Steve Leslie, was able to sit down with two stars of this football team, Lucas Dattilo and Josh Felasco, to talk about the regular season so far as its beginning to wrap up, what the playoff outlook is like from the players stand point, what Coach G has the boys doing to prepare for these last two regular season games and then a playoff push, and so much more.

NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH – Lucas Dattilo has been a part of the Springfield Tigers football program for as long as anyone can remember and now he is one of the seniors on this 2023 Tigers team that has the community buzzing with excitement. From his spot on the line, Lucas looks to lead by example in the trenches and create plays that will spring the Tigers to success each game.

YSN’s own, Steve Leslie had the opportunity to sit down with Lucas Dattilo this week to discuss his senior season, what his plans are for the season and after he graduates, what it means to him to be a Springfield Tiger, and a rapid fire questionnaire to find out some of the little things that make him the person and player that he is.
