CARDINALS CAP OFF KERNAN CLASSIC IN STYLE

CANFIELD OH- Canfield wrapped up their JoAnne Kernan Classic on a high note, delivering a dominant performance against Erie McDowell with a commanding 10-0 victory on Saturday afternoon.

The Canfield offense came alive with multiple players contributing to the scoring. Marina Koenig led the charge, going 3-for-4 at the plate, including a home run and two RBIs. Sydney Lutz went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored, while Macey Kalina also had a big day, going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Sofia Castranova and Faith Morell each contributed two hits, with Castranova adding an RBI and two runs scored.

On the mound, Malena Toth was nothing short of spectacular. The Canfield pitcher tossed a no-hitter over 6.0 innings, striking out an impressive 16 batters and issuing only one walk. The pitching performance stifled Erie McDowell’s offense, allowing Canfield to secure the shutout victory.
