QUAKERS STUN MARLINGTON

SALEM, OH- Down by as many as thirteen in the first half, the Salem Quakers found a way to punch their way back into the game en route to a 53-51 victory over EBC-Leading Marlington on Tuesday night.

Salem was flat to start the game, in fact in the first quarter, all Salem could muster up was two points.

Halftime sparked the Red and Black attack, as they outscored the Dukes by 15 in the second half by moving the ball inside, and pounding the rock to open up the perimeter later in the contest.  The Quakers were paced by Drew Weir’s game-high 17 points.  Ross Davidson showed fire from the bench with 13 points, and sharpshooter, Cam Sampson netted 10.

For Marlington, Tommy Skelding battled for 13 points, and Connor Evanich had 12.

The Quakers (5-11) will turn their attention to West Branch at the Cab on Friday Night.
