After a tough loss to East Palestine last Friday, Clipper Nation thought they’d have to wait until 2018 for redemption…Until the phone rang, and texts were delivered and the Columbiana Clippers were awarded the last and final spot in the Division VI bracket, only to face the top-seeded Rootstown.

Coach Spaite sat down with YSN and discussed what the past week has been like, and what you can expect from the Clips at 7:30 Friday.

SOUTH RANGE AVENGERS: BUZZACCO AND REMISH

Usually, superheroes are equipped with capes, webbed hands, and laser beams coming from their eyes.

These 2 superheroes (Aniello Buzzacco, and Peyton Remish) are equipped with over 2000 yards rushing, and 28 Touchdowns on the ground.  That’s not even adding in Buzzacco’s nearly 1600 yards through the air, and additional 19 scores.

In looking to avenge a one-and-done playoff appearance in 2016: The real-life Iron Man, and Captain America are upon us in South Range, and it might just take an army to stop them.

REBELS WITH A CAUSE: HUFF AND YANSSENS PUT TEAM FIRST

It’s not often that you talk to underclassmen, and they have such an appreciation for a team’s history and traditions.  Not the case with Dylan Huff, and Andrew Yanssens.  These dynamic playmakers have exploded onto the scene in a big way their Junior campaigns.  Yanssens is the teams leading rusher, and Huff is the playmaker that keeps opposing coaches up at night.

These two are wise beyond their years but know that it takes more than them to win a championship.

Grab your helmet, and tighten up those chin straps.  You’re about to get inside the Rebel Huddle with Dylan Huff and Andrew Yanssens.

LADY TIGERS RISE TO THE CHALLENGE IN 2017

The Wellsville Lady Tigers Volleyball team led by Dan McKinstry and Melody Allison finished the season (tournament included) at an impressive 16-8 mark, and 11-3 inside their respective Conference.

The Lady Tigers improved seemingly each and every game of the season, which was highlighted by McKinstry’s 700th career victory against Toronto.

Members of the team include: Peyton Davidson, Emily Skinner, Emily Russell, Angeline Luckino, Greta Cartwright, Meaghan Nixon, Jenna McNicol, Indiah Pullie, McKenna Simms, Cameron Jackson, Cameron Carlevale, DeHaven Dobritz, Delaney Cochran, Emma Smith, Kiera Perry, Katelynn Exline, Kinley Martin, and Regan Pierson.
