PUTTING SOME ENGLISH ON IT

ATWATER OH- Kaira English is someone that most would describe throughout the school day as a kind-hearted and quiet student. One that you would gladly show the ropes and offer not only her knowledge, but friendship to a complete stranger. However, when she dawns The Vikings uniform and whether it is a field or court, when Kaira steps on it, she becomes “The Bully.”

Earning that nickname comes with a price, mostly paid at her opponents expense, but quite simply, it is living with a fearless mindset. English is an athlete that would be described as one whose competitive spirit is constantly filling her full of adrenaline, allowing her to reach that next level as an athlete constantly.

Already climbing the state’s all-time leaderboard in goals for soccer, English eclipsed the century mark, scoring her 100th goal in her career in just her junior season. With already 15 Goals on the season and a 4-0 record for The Lady Vikings, the sky’s the limit for Kaira English and Waterloo! As Kaira got the chance to stop by Running Point and talk about her journey through sports. From where she got her nickname, to the origins of her play style in dodgeball games in middle school, you can catch this all and more in this EXCLUSIVE YSN Interview!
