AVALANCHE COMES OUT ON TOP

STRUTHERS OH-

Avalanche stole the lead late in the game in a 15-14 victory over Eaglewear on Saturday.  The game was tied at 11 with Eaglewear batting in the top of the fourth when Dominick Ratkovich grounded out, scoring one run.

 Avalanche earned the victory despite allowing Eaglewear to score ten runs in the first inning.  Sam Barber, Baron Hardy,  Alex Zordich, JD Memo, Avery Maley, and Barber each had RBIs in the frame.

Eaglewear got on the board in the first inning when Barber grounded out, scoring one run.

Avalanche knotted the game up at 14 in the bottom of the sixth inning, when George Gabriel singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

 Avalanche scored seven runs in the third inning.  Will Beckert, Anthony Roper, William Moore, Chandler Maurice, and Aidan Bowser all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Maurice got the win for Youngstown Avalanche. He lasted two innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out two and walking one. 

Ratkovich took the loss for Eaglewear. He surrendered four runs on four hits over one inning.

Avalanche saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game.  Bowser and Gabriel each managed multiple hits for.  Bowser led Avalanche with three hits in three at bats.

Eaglewear had nine hits in the game.  Maley and Hardy each had multiple hits.  Maley went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Eaglewear in hits.

A2Z CONTINUES TO SHINE

STRUTHERS OH-

Both offenses were strong in A2Z’s 11-7 victory over Creekside .

In the first inning, Creekside got their offense started.  Tyson Tarajack singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the second inning, A2Z tied things up at five when Matt Boccieri doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

After Creekside scored one run in the top of the fifth, A2Z answered with one of their own.  Creekside scored when an error scored one run.  A2Z then answered when Carson Bish singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

A2Z pulled away for good with one run in the third inning.  In the third Matt Paparodis singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

A2Z notched five runs in the second inning.  They put the pressure on, led by singles by Paparodis, Braden Adams, and Danny Nittoli and a double by Boccieri.

Creekside scored three runs in the second inning.  Donovan Bell-Sullivan and Dylan Sheeley each drove in runs during the inning.

Parker Dobson earned the victory on the mound for A2Z. He surrendered two runs on four hits over four innings, striking out four.

Jacob Werner took the loss for Creekside. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while walking one.

A2Z had 16 hits in the game.  Chris Denney, Bish, Paparodis, Jeffries, Adams, and Nittoli all managed multiple hits.  Denney went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead A2Z in hits.  

Creekside racked up ten hits on the day.  Tarajack and Sheeley all managed multiple hits for Creekside.

CREEKSIDE HANDLES PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside had no issue with beating the Prospects 7-2 on Friday. Creekside scored 7 runs on 7 hits while Prospects scored 2 runs on 4 hits.

Johnny Leedham has a great day for Creekside going 2-3 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and a RBI. Jayden Maggs went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Logan Cayavec went 1-3 with a RBI.

Jake Dohy went 1-3 for Prospects and picked up their lone RBI. Jake Hettrick went 1-3 with a run scored.

Cayavec got the victory on the bump for Creekside. He went 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 4 only using 70 pitches.

FALCONS DEMOLISH AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- The Astro Falcons manhandled Avalanche on Friday 18-1. They combined for twelve runs in two innings between the 4th and the 5th. The Falcons scored 18 runs on 17 hits.

Seth Cervello went 3-4 for the Falcons. He scored 2 runs and collected 2 RBI. Stephen Tarnoci went 3-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Ben Slanker went 2-3 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and a RBI.

Keegan Balla had a perfect day at the plate and went 2-2 for Avalanche. Paxton Grimes went 1-1.

Aiden Miller took home the win on the rubber for the Falcons. He went 5 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits. He struck out 6.

DURA EDGE MAKES IT TWO AGAINST WHITING

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge winter their second game of the night over Whiting Roll-Offs on Friday 12-2. They got way ahead early with eight runs in the first 2 innings.

Nate Rynd went 2-3 for Dura Edge with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Nick Leasure went 1-1 with a walk and 2 RBI. Ryan Telesz went 2-3 with a RBI. Tyler Rekich went 2-2 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.

Nate Hayes went 2-3 for Whiting with a run scored. Mitch Lang went 1-2 with a RBI.

Nate Rynd earned the win on the bump for Dura Edge. He went 3 innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits. He struck out a hitter.

LATE PUSH SENDS BALLISTIC PAST ROTH BROTHERS

STRUTHERS OH- Four late runs helped Ballistic Baseball push past Roth Brothers on Friday 6-3. Their four run 5th put them up 6-1. Roth was able to answer with a pair of runs in the next inning but the hole was too deep to dig out of.

Marc Conti went 1-2 for Ballistic with 1 run scored, a walk, and a RBI. Luke Leonard went 1-3 with a RBI. Jack Dascenzo has multiple hits going 2-3.

Alec Gryzb went 1-3 with a RBI for Roth. Chance Laczko went 1-2 with a RBI. He also scored a run and walked.

Isaac Schleich picked up the win on the rubber for Ballistic. He went 3 innings and gave up 0 runs on 0 hits. He struck out 5.

KNIGHTLINE MAKES QUICK WORK OF EAGLE WEAR

STRUTHERS OH- It was all Knightline in Friday’s game against Eagle Wear. Knightline pitcher’s shut down Eagle Wear’s offense, while their offense ran roughshod. They scored 8 runs on 8 hits. Their biggest inning came in the third when they dropped 3 runs.

Mikey Sciortino went 2-4 for Knightline with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Gino Lazzari went 1-2 with a RBI.

Ian Barton had a good day despite the offensive struggles for Eagle Wear. He went 2-3. Josh Loew got the other hit, he went 1-2.

Guy Young got the victory for Knightline. He went 5 innings giving up 0 runs on 2 hits. He struck out 8. He only used 77 pitches.

 

DURA EDGE BRUSHES OFF WHITING

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge took home a 7-4 victory over Whiting Roll-Offs on Friday night. Both teams had a high scoring 1st inning as Whiting led 4-3 after it was done. Dura Edge struck for a run in each of the next 4 innings to seal the win.

Parker Lyons has an impressive night for Dura Edge. He went 2-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Brady Shannon was productive going 3-4 with 3 runs scored and a RBI.

For Whiting, Tyler Kamerer went 1-2 with a run scored and a pair of walks. Marcus Fuller went 1-2 with a RBI. Mitch Lang walked twice and collected a RBI.

Tyler Rekich secured the win for Dura Edge on the mound. He went 5 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 5 hits. He struck out 3.

A2Z KEEPS ON ROLLING

STRUTHERS OH-

A2Z had all cylinders firing on offense on Thursday, winning big over Avalanche 12-2

In the first inning, A2Z got their offense started when Matt Boccieri doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

A2Z tallied five runs in the third inning.  Their offense in the inning was led by Carson Bish, Matt Paparodis, Joe Aey, and Tyler Canfield, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Paparodis was the winning pitcher for A2Z. He lasted five innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out six.

Zach Livosky took the loss for Avalanche. He allowed five hits and five runs over two innings.

Danny Nittoli led A2Z with two hits in two at bats.

CREEKSIDE SWINGS BIG FOR THE WIN

STRUTHERS OH-

Creekside won a contest against Whiting Roll-Offs on Thursday,  6-3

 Creekside Fitness got on the board in the first inning when Tyson Tarajack grounded out, scoring one run.

Creekside pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning.  In the third Michael Patellis doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, Tarajack grounded out, scoring one run, and Mason Petridis grounded out, scoring one run.

Mason Petridis led Creekside to victory on the mound. He allowed one hit and zero runs over four and a third innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Connor Davis took the loss for Whiting. He allowed nine hits and six runs over six innings, striking out three and walking one.

 Tyler Mikulin started the game for   Creekside. He allowed six hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four

Creekside totaled nine hits.  Carmine White and Patellis each collected multiple hits.  Patellis and White each collected two hits to lead.

Whiting racked up seven hits on the day.  Grant Melder and Owen Keister all managed multiple hits.
