ATHLETIX SAVE THE FIREWORKS FOR THE END

STRUTHERS OH- Thursday night in Class B Baseball 16U, Athletix pulled off a stunning comeback, scoring seven runs in the top of the seventh to defeat Knightline 10-4.

Shawn Updegraff earned the win in relief for Athletix, while Isaac Wolfe took the loss out of the bullpen for Knightline.

Cody Bungert was a standout for Athletix, collecting two hits, including a double, with two RBIs and two runs scored. Jaden Wallace added a double among his two hits, driving in two and scoring once. Cooper Jobe chipped in with two hits and scored twice. Ty McGahagan contributed a hit, two RBIs, and a run, while Jonathan Adamson hit an RBI double and scored.

For Knightline, Jaden Wurst and Drew Chizmar each had two hits. Wurst crossed the plate twice, and Chizmar drove in a run. Despite their efforts, Knightline couldn’t hold off the Athletix rally.
