Despite seeing its five-run lead whittled down by the end, the Canfield Cardinals still held off Archbishop Hoban for a 6-4 victory on Monday. Archbishop Hoban scored three runs in the failed comeback on a sacrifice fly, and a single.

Archbishop Hoban scored three runs in the sixth inning, but Canfield still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Archbishop Hoban came thanks to a single, and a sac fly.

Canfield fired up the offense in the second inning. Dom Magliocca drew a walk, scoring one run.

Landon Beidelchies led things off on the hill for the Cardinals. The southpaw went five innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out 11 and walking one.

Ben Slanker, Chris Sammarone, AJ Havrilla, and Ryan Petro each managed one hit to lead Canfield Cardinals Varsity.
