A ROAD RALLY GIVES RIDGE THE SWEEP

BERLIN CENTER OH- Mineral Ridge pulled off an impressive comeback on the road against Western Reserve, securing the season sweep with a commanding 11-5 victory.

Trailing 4-2 after four innings, Mineral Ridge unleashed a furious rally, putting up 5 runs in the fifth and adding 4 more in the sixth to seal the deal.

Xavier Klamer led the charge for Ridge, going a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate with 3 RBI and crossing the plate 3 times himself. Jackson Geddes contributed with a 2 for 4 performance, driving in 2 runs. AJ Sandy reached base twice with a 2 for 3 night, drawing a walk and scoring 3 runs. Trey Rigley also made his mark, going 1 for 3 with an RBI, a walk, and scoring twice.

On the mound, Christian Dunlap picked up the win with 2.2 solid innings, allowing just 1 earned run on 3 hits while striking out 1. Nick Anderson started the game and tossed 2.1 innings, striking out 5 while giving up 2 earned runs on 5 hits.

For Western Reserve, Vance Story went 1 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored, while Peyton Hartzell and Hunter Taylor each contributed with 2 hits and a run scored. Brock Wellman added an RBI to the Blue Devils’ efforts.

On the mound for Reserve, Brayden Saunders pitched 4 innings, surrendering 5 earned runs on 5 hits.
