REED NO HITS CREEKSIDE

STRUTHERS OH- Josh Reed was untouchable on Wednesday night as he tossed 7 no hit innings. Dura Edge’s offense gave Reed plenty of room to work as they scored in 5 out of the 7 innings played. They’re big inning was a 4 spot in the bottom of the 4th.

Jarrod Malagise went 2-3 for Dura Edge with a RBI and 2 runs scored. Parker Lyons went 2-2 with a walk, and 2 runs scored.

Robert Verba for Creekside was Reed’s only walk on the day.

Reed gave up 0 runs and 0 hits in 7 innings. He struck out 7 and only walked 1.

ASTRO FALCONS START STRONG AND DONT LOOK BACK

STRUTHERS OH- Things we’re looking bright for Whiting Roll-Offs on Wednesday as they put up a 4 spot in the top of the 1st against Astro Falcons. But that feeling went away fast when the Falcons answered with 7 in the bottom of the inning. The Falcons scored four more in the 2nd on their way to a 14-6 victory.

Tino Campoli went 3-4 for the Falcons with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Patrick Sullivan went 1-1 with a walk, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.

Kevin Lavrich went 1-1 for Whiting, with 2 walks, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI. Braeden D’Angelo went 1-3 with RBI.

William Morrow got the win for the Falcons. He pitched 4 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits and striking out 6.

EAGLE WEAR SCORES LATE TO SHOCK ROTH BROTHERS

STRUTHERS OH- The game on Wednesday night between Roth Brothers and Eagle Wear was tied at 2 heading into the sixth inning. Roth Brothers struck for 2 in the top of the inning, seemingly taking control of the game, but Eagle Wear stormed back with 3 in the bottom to steal the victory 5-4.

Deshawn Gunther-Putnam went 1-3 for Eagle Wear with 2 RBI. Ryan Hooper went 1-3 with a RBI as well. Ian Barton got on base every at bat going 1-1 with 2 walks. He also scored a run.

Chance Laczko went 1-2 a walk and 2 RBI. Zach Pleska went 1-2 with a walk and a run scored. He added a RBI.

Barton pitched well for Eagle Wear. He gave 0 earned runs on 3 hits in 5 innings. He also struck out 7.

 

FALCONS LET LOOSE ON DURA EDGE

STRUTHERS OH- The Astro Falcons had to be frustrated coming off of their 2-2 tie with Prospects. Well they took out their frustrations on Dura Edge with a bruising 10-2 victory. The Falcons sprinkled their 10 runs between the 3rd-6th innings.

Ben Slanker went 2-3 for the Falcons with 2 RBI. Patrick Sullivan went 1-2 with a pair of RBI.

Parker Lyons went 1-2 with a RBI for Dura Edge. Sam Scharville mirrored that stat line himself.

Tino Campoli got the win on the mound for the the Falcons. He pitched 5 innings and gave up 0 earned runs on 2 hits. He struck out 5 and walked only 1.

 

PROSPECTS AND FALCONS DRAW EVEN

STRUTHERS OH- Both pitching staffs were solid in the game between Astro Falcons and Prospects on Sunday. The Falcons scored two runs early, Prospects scored two runs late and that’s where they would remain. Deadlocked at 2 as time expired.

Not many hits for either side in this one, but Cole Constable went 1-2 with a RBI for the Falcons. Tino Campoli has the other RBI.

Jake Hettrick went 1-3 with a RBI for the Prospects. Zach Macik had the same stat line.

Tyler Staub went 3 innings for the Falcons and gave up just 1 run on 1 hit. He struck out 2.

Jack Liepheimer went 4 innings for Prospects and gave up 0 runs on 3 hits and struck out 2.

EAGLE WEAR SNEAKS ONE OUT AGAINST CREEKSIDE

STRUTHERS OH- Eagle Wear won a close on against Creekside on Sunday 3-2. The three runs from Eagle Wear were scored in the first two innings, and their pitching staff was able to hold on the rest of the way.

Ian Barton went 1-1 for Eagle Wear with a RBI. He also walked twice. Brett Brown went 1-3 with a run scored.

For Avalanche, Robert Verba went 1-2 with the team’s only RBI. Johnny Leedham has a good day at the plate going 2-3 with a run scored.

DaShawn Gunther-Putnam got the win on the mound for Eagle Wear. He gave up 1 earned run on 3 hits in 4 innings pitched. He struck out 3.

Logan Cayavec was the tough luck loser on the mound for Creekside. He went 3 innings and gave up no earned runs on 2 hits. He also struck out a pair.

ROTH BROTHERS AND AVALANCHE DRAW EVEN AT 5-5

STRUTHERS OH- The Roth Brothers and Avalanche game on Sunday ended in a 5-5 tie. Both teams scored 2 in a dramatic 7th inning. Time expired before the Roth Brothers managed to get the game winning run.

Alec Gryzb continues his impressive weekend for Roth Brothers going 2-2 with 2 RBI. Conner Miller was 0-1, but walked 3 times and collected a RBI.

Brandon Boyles went 1-3 with a RBI for the Avalanche. DJ Donatelli went 2-3 with 2 runs scored.

Jackson Fox only surrendered 1 earned run in 5 innings pitched for the Avalanche. He gave up 5 hits and struck out a pair.

 

WHITING ROLL-OFFS CRUISE TO VICTORY

STRUTHERS OH- The Whiting Roll-Offs used a strong finish on Sunday to cruise past the Prospects in a 9-4 win. They scored 7 runs in the final two innings to seal the deal.

For Whiting, Ken Lavrich went 2-3 with a walk and a run scored. He also had a RBI. Mitch Lang went 2-4 with a RBI.

For the Prospects, Brandon Popio went 3-3 with 2 RBI. Jake Hettrick went 2-3.

Josh Pallerino threw 5 innings for Whiting. He gave up 4 runs on 8 hits and struck out 5.

KNIGHTLINE’S WINNING SUNDAY CONTINUES AGAINST CREEKSIDE

STRUTHERS OH- Fresh off a win over Roth Brothers, Knightline blew out Creekside 11-2. Knightline scored 4 in the first inning, and then put up a big seven runs in the 5th.

Gavin Shrum led the offensive onslaught for Knightline going 2-3 with 2 RBI. He also scored 2 runs. Tyler Capan also had 2 RBI going 1-3. Dru Deshields went 2-3 with a run scored.

David Posey had the only RBIs for Creekside going 1-2. Jack Desmond also went 1-2.

Gavin Shrum got the win for Knightline going 4 innings, giving up 3 hits, and 2 runs. He struck out 4.

KNIGHTLINE TAKES HOME WIN OVER ROTH BROTHERS

STRUTHERS OH- Knightline pitchers were able to keep Roth Brothers in check on Sunday as they took home a Father’s Day win 5-2. Knightline’s big inning came in the 3rd when they scored three runs.

Mikey Sciortino had a good day at the plate going 1-2 with a walk and a RBI. He also scored two runs. Anthony Butto went 1-1 with a RBI, he walked twice.

Alec Gryzb went 2-2 for Roth Brothers with a RBI and a run scored. Sam Campbell went 1-1 with a RBI.

Guy Young got the win for Knightline. He threw six innings and gave up 2 runs on 8 hits and struck out 7.
