WILSON PUTS HER NAME ON THE MAP

CANFIELD OH- The Canfield girls lacrosse team has grown so much in its short journey so far as a program.  Now in 2022 they sit as one of the best teams not just in our region, but also in our state. The team is headlined by plenty of senior leadership. Emily Wilson is one of those seniors, and a huge part of the Canfield offense.

Earlier in the week, Wilson scored her 100th goal of the season on senior night in a win over Boardman. An incredible moment that you probably wouldn’t be able to script in a movie. With her teammates piling on her and showing her love, Wilson took in the whole moment in what might have been the best milestone celebration we’ve seen on YSN.

Wilson has made the decision to continue her lacrosse career at Youngstown State University. The Penguins program is new, but electric as they have found instant success. Wilson will be the first local player recruited to the program, and for her being able to stay close to home was a big selling point.

wilson came on YSN’s Running Point earlier this week. She gave us great insight into not just Canfield lacrosse, but also the scope of the sport in the area. She talks with Anthony Romo, Richie Juliano, and Anthony Hartwig about her 100th goal moment, what lies in her future plans, and much more. Get into the sport of lacrosse with the latest Canfield player profile.

YOU CANT GET PAST DAPOLITO

CANFIELD OH- Canfield girls lacrosse is quickly becoming one of the better teams in the whole region. A big reason why is their defense. That backbone of that Cardinal defense is Karley Dapolito.

Karley is the top ranked goalie in the state. And with success, there can come pressure to hold up those standards. Someone might struggle with the weight that comes with being a top ranked goalie, but not Dapolito. She uses her teammates and support system to always keep her in the present. Nothing will be able to shake her confidence, not because she has unshakable ego, but because of unshakable support around her.

Karley took the time to hop on to YSN’s Running Point to talk about her incredible lacrosse career. She talks to Anthony Hartwig, and Ty Bartell about the growth of the sport, her work ethic, and so much more. You definitely don’t want to miss the latest Canfield Girls Lacrosse player profile.
