CHAMPION’S DOMINANCE IN THE MVAC LEADS TO ANOTHER TITLE

WARREN OH- Champion Softball didn’t just win; they dominated their way to the MVAC championship, pulling off a sweet doubleheader sweep against Campbell. And when we say sweet, we mean a 13-0 spanking in both games.

**Game 1:**

The offense was hotter than a midsummer barbecue for Champion in the first game. Gabby Gradishar led the charge, going 3 for 3 with a homer, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. Addie Warzala and Sam Strock also joined the dinger party, each slamming one out of the park and racking up some serious RBIs. But it wasn’t just about the long bombs; Bella Meyer, Zoey Palette, and Maddison Sylvester kept the hits coming, with RBIs and runs scored all around.

As if their offense wasn’t enough, Champion’s pitching was on lockdown. Gradishar tossed three innings of one-hit ball, striking out seven Red Devils and giving Campbell’s batters a tough time. Mileena Williams managed to sneak in Campbell’s only hit of the game, but that was pretty much all they got against Champion’s ace.

**Game 2:**

Champion wasn’t about to let up in the second game. Addie Warzala came back swinging, blasting two homers and driving in four runs, while Gradishar continued her hot streak, going 3 for 3 with another homer and three RBIs. Grace Hadley got in on the action too, knocking in three runs with a perfect hit and drawing a walk for good measure. Sylvester added another RBI to her tally, just to round things out.

But the real star of the show in game two was Sam Strock. She threw three perfect innings, not a single hit, not a single walk, just straight domination. The Red Devils couldn’t touch her, let alone get on base. It was a pitching performance for the ages and the cherry on top of Champion’s championship cake.
