SPARTANS LOCK DOWN A PAIR OF WINS

RICHFIELD OH- Boardman kept their winning streak alive with a stellar performance in a Saturday doubleheader, taking down both Normandy and Revere with style.

**Game 1 vs Normandy:**

Boardman’s bats were on fire right out of the gate. Tori Strines led the offensive charge, going 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Ava Freeborough and Maddie Wymer also had hot bats, each going 2 for 2 with multiple RBIs and runs scored. Alex Ward and Leah Habeger contributed as well, driving in runs and crossing the plate themselves. Kenzie Cherne chipped in with an RBI and a run scored, rounding out a potent offensive attack.

In the circle, Gabi Sferra was simply untouchable. She tossed five innings of one-hit ball, striking out eight Normandy batters and shutting down any hope of a comeback.

**Game 2 vs Revere:**

Boardman didn’t let up in the second game, continuing to put runs on the board against Revere. Addie Kowacich led the charge this time, going 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and showing great discipline with a walk. Mikayla Rivera and Tori Strines also had impressive performances at the plate, while Alex Ward and Maddie Wymer drove in crucial runs to keep the scoreboard ticking.

In the circle, Addie Kowacich continued Boardman’s pitching dominance, allowing only three hits and no earned runs over 5.1 innings. Despite not racking up as many strikeouts as Sferra, Kowacich kept Revere’s hitters off balance and gave her team a solid chance to secure the win.
