CLIPPERS LIFTOFF AGAIN IN EOAC PLAY

COLUMBIANA OH- Columbiana’s softball team showcased its offensive firepower on Monday, routing Wellsville in a commanding 17-0 victory in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference (EOAC) play.

From the first pitch, Columbiana’s bats were red hot, with the team piling on runs throughout the game. Leading the charge was Alivia Bell, who went 2-2 with four RBIs and one run scored. Maria Malcomson contributed to the onslaught with a perfect 1-1 at-bat, drawing a walk, driving in four runs, and scoring one herself. Caitlynn Pleska had a standout performance, going 4-4 with a home run, three RBIs, and three runs scored, while Mackenzi Gamble chipped in with a 2-2 effort, driving in one run and scoring three times.

On the mound, Peyton Stoy delivered a dominant performance, holding Wellsville to just one hit over five innings. Stoy displayed pinpoint control, issuing no walks while striking out eight batters to keep Wellsville’s offense at bay.

The win showcased Columbiana’s all-around strength and depth, both offensively and defensively. With their potent lineup and stellar pitching, Columbiana remains a formidable force in the EOAC.
