EAGLES SOAR OVER FITCH

AUSTINTOWN, OH- The Kennedy Eagles clinched a solid 6-2 victory over the Austintown-Fitch Falcons this Wednesday. Kennedy took the lead early in the third when Caleb Hadley walked with the bases loaded, pushing a run across. Austintown-Fitch answered back in the fourth when Jackson Cheeks cracked a double to even things up.

The tide really turned in the fifth inning. Hadley came through again with a double that scored another run, and Dominic Ryan followed with a single to extend Kennedy’s lead to 3-1. Jaden Rishel was on point for Kennedy, controlling the game from the mound by allowing just one run over six innings, striking out four.

On the losing side, Anthony Wibert struggled a bit for the Falcons, surrendering four runs over five innings. Micheal Bartoe came in to help, but the day belonged to Kennedy.

Jackson Cheeks led things at the dish for the Falcons with two hits including a double to tie the game in the fourth inning.  Frankie Senediak also had an RBI.

Kennedy’s bats were hot, racking up nine hits. Michael Condoleon, Andrew Lapolla, and Santino Ciambotti each snagged two hits. The team also showed patience at the plate, earning eight walks, with Freddy Bolchalk and Hadley picking up a couple each.

Defensively, Kennedy turned a crucial double play to keep the Falcons at bay, who managed two double plays themselves. Cheeks stood out for Austintown-Fitch with two hits.

Looking ahead, Kennedy is set to face Crestview on Thursday. Get ready to see if they can keep their momentum rolling!
