FALCONS FIGHT THEIR WAY TO WIN OVER KNIGHTLINE

STRUTHERS OH- Wednesday night at Bob Cene Park, the Astro Falcons 18U squad grinded out a tough 5-3 win over Knightline.

The Falcons came through at the plate when it mattered. Sal Mineo went 1-for-3, driving in 2 runs and scoring once. Maddox Tarquino was patient and productive, going 1-for-1 with an RBI, drawing 2 walks, and scoring a run. Creed Erdos chipped in with a 1-for-2 performance and an RBI, while Andres Hurkmans added an RBI to the mix.

On the mound, Jacob Hayes delivered a solid start, going 4 innings, giving up just 1 earned run on 4 hits, and fanning 4 batters. David Posey closed it out with 3 innings of work, allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits and striking out 5.

Knightline had their moments, too. Taggart Carfangia went 2-for-2, drove in a run, and drew a walk. Grady Moore contributed an RBI, Noah Darr had a solid 2-for-3 night, and Austin Biggin added a hit in 4 at-bats.
