DURA EDGE SNEAKS PAST ASTRO IN THE SEMIS

STRUTHERS OH- In a thrilling semifinal clash at the NABF Senior Division World Series 18U, Dura Edge edged out the Astro Falcons 6-4.

Alex Zordich led the charge with two doubles and two RBIs. Eddie Dolansky had three hits and scored twice, while Ethan Feezle and Andrew Porto each added a double and an RBI.

Luca Fronzaglio sealed the win, pitching the last three innings, allowing just one hit and no runs while striking out one.

For the Falcons, Aari Fox had two hits and a run, and Blake Primrose added two hits, including a triple, driving in two runs.

FALCONS ARE THE ONES THAT CREATE HAVOC

STRUTHERS OH- Saturday afternoon at Bob Cene Park, Astro Falcons crushed Hambden Havoc 12-0 in a lopsided NABF 18U game.

Danny Pederson and Nik Kyprianoi each had two hits and scored three runs. Blake Primrose added two hits, including a double, driving in two runs and scoring twice. AJ Verdi chipped in with two hits, two RBIs, and a run.

Klase Carson pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just one hit while striking out four. Cody Fischer managed the only hit for Havoc.

FALCONS DO JUST ENOUGH TO STAY UNBEATEN

STRUTHERS OH- Friday afternoon at Bob Cene Park, the Astro Falcons squeaked past Dura Edge with a 6-5 win.

AJ Verdi led the Falcons with a double, two RBIs, and a run. Andrew Porto had two hits for Dura Edge.

Astro Falcons came out swinging, scoring 4 runs in the first inning. They added 2 more in the 5th, which proved crucial as Dura Edge rallied with 5 runs in the bottom of the inning. Despite the late push, the Falcons held on for the win.

ASTRO FALCONS STILL ON A ROLL

STRUTHERS OH- Friday afternoon at Bob Cene Park, the Astro Falcons dominated Ohio Tide 13-1 in the NABF 18U game.

Aari Fox led with two hits, including a double, an RBI, and a run. Ben Kern also had two hits, including a double, driving in two runs and scoring twice. AJ Verdi chipped in with two hits, two RBIs, and two runs, while Danny Pederson had three hits and scored twice. Andres Hurkmans smacked a triple, driving in three runs and scoring once. Brodie Kuzior and Brady Alexander each hit a double, driving in a run and scoring twice.

Tyler Wright was solid on the mound, pitching a complete game, giving up two hits and one run while striking out eight.

For Ohio Tide, Tim Gonakis managed a double, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Falcons’ onslaught.

 

ASTRO FALCONS BLAST THROUGH BUCKEYES

STRUTHERS OH- In a NABF 18U showdown at Bob Cene Park on Thursday night, the Astro Falcons crushed the BHM Buckeyes 14-1.

Ben Kern led the way with two hits, including a double, driving in three runs and scoring twice. Andres Hurkmans was hot with three hits, including a double, three RBIs, and a run. Danny Pederson added two hits, an RBI, and a run. Tyler Wright chipped in with two hits, two RBIs, and two runs. Liam McElroy and Blake Primrose each smacked a triple, with McElroy scoring three runs and Primrose driving in two and scoring twice.

On the mound, David Posey was untouchable, pitching a complete game with no hits, no earned runs, and seven strikeouts.

FALCONS HAVE THEIR WAY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

STRUTHERS OH- In a showdown at Bob Cene Park, the Astro Falcons flew past the Diamond Boys 6-2 to snag the NABF 16U title. Taco Verroco was on fire, blasting a double and a home run, driving in three runs, and scoring once. Gavin Hiscox chipped in with two hits and an RBI, while Brysan Zirwas added two hits, including a double, and scored a run. Logan Patellis also had a solid day at the plate with two hits and two runs.

On the mound, Matthew Myers was a force, going five innings, allowing seven hits but no runs, and striking out three. For the Diamond Boys, Michael Grobelny and Vincent Carriero each had two hits, Michael Wolff contributed two hits and two RBIs, and Nick Labella racked up three hits, including a double and a run.

The Falcons’ bats and Myers’ pitching sealed the deal, crowning them champions.

FALCONS HANG ON FOR A TRIP TO THE FINALS

STRUTHERS OH- In a nail-biter, the Astro Falcons squeezed past Creekside Fitness 2-1 to punch their ticket to the NABF 16U Junior World Series Championship. Gavin Hiscox knocked in a hit and scored a run, while Ben Oddis chipped in with a hit and an RBI for the Falcons.

On the mound, Kale Morasky was lights out, tossing a complete game gem. He scattered three hits, gave up just one run, and fanned seven batters. Creekside’s Danny Leonard managed to rip a double, but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback.

Next up, the Falcons will clash with the Diamond Boys 16U Showcase for the title.

ASTRO FALCONS DIG UP A WIN OVER MINERS

STRUTHERS OH- Under Saturday’s clear skies at Bob Cene Park, the Astro Falcons took flight and defeated the Yukon Miners 5-1.

Ty McCaskey drove in two runs with two hits, while Rowan Urbach was a powerhouse with three hits, including a double and a triple, an RBI, and two runs. Logan Patellis chipped in with a double and a run. Tyler Wilson dominated on the mound, going six innings, allowing just four hits and one run while striking out four. Tristen Cole managed two hits and a run for the Miners.

FALCONS SPLIT THD DAY

STRUTHERS OH- In NABF action on Friday at Bob Cene Park, the Astro Falcons took down the Brooklyn Sluggers with an 8-2 victory. The win for the Falcons is a nice bounce back from the one run loss to Diamond Boys

Logan Patellis led the charge for the Falcons with two hits, including a double, an RBI, and two runs. Carson Klase was a force on the mound, pitching six innings, giving up just three hits and one earned run while striking out nine.

DIAMOND BOYS DIG UP WIN OVER ASTRO FALCONS

Friday at Bob Cene Park, Diamond Boys Showcase edged out Astro Falcons 5-4 in NABF Sophomore division action. It was a big win for Diamond Boys heading into Day 3 of the NABF Junior World Series.

Michael Wolff led the charge for Diamond Boys with two hits and two runs. For Astro, Gavin Hiscox was hot at the plate with four hits, including a double and a run. Rowan Urbach also chipped in with a double, an RBI, and a run.
