HUBBARD HOLDS STRONG

In a back-and-forth battle on Friday night, Hubbard held on for a hard-fought 7-6 victory over Warren Harding.

The Hubbard offense came out swinging, led by Braydon Songer who went 3-for-4 with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. Jonny Adamson contributed with a 1-for-2 performance, driving in 1 RBI, drawing 1 walk, and scoring 1 run. Gabe Rusnak added 2 RBIs, while Andrew Kali went 2-for-4 at the plate.

On the mound, Noah Adamson pitched 6 solid innings for Hubbard, allowing 7 hits and 5 earned runs while tallying 3 strikeouts. AJ Cheney came in for relief in the seventh inning, pitching a scoreless frame with 1 hit and 3 strikeouts.

Despite Warren Harding’s late surge, scoring 3 runs in the sixth and seventh innings, Hubbard’s pitching and defense held strong to secure the win.
