HAMLEY’S 12 STRIKEOUTS KEEP AUSTINTOWN IN IT

GREENVILLE NC- Mila Hamley was dominant on the mound, as the righty rang up 12 strikeouts in Austintown’s 4-0 victory over West on Tuesday to advance in the Little League World Series. Hamley allowed one hit and zero runs over six innings while walking three.

Austintown got on the board in the top of the first inning after Annabel Mikesell tripled, and Bella Baumgart laid down a sacrifice bunt, each scoring one run.

Austintown added one run in the second after Amadi Beardsley grounded out.

Tori Greathouse and Ava Fisher each collected two hits for Austintown. Baumgart, Beardsley, and Mikesell each drove in one run. Austintown didn’t commit a single error in the field. Baumgart had the most chances in the field with 12.

Austintown’s next game will be Wednesday at 1:00 against the winner of Wintersville, NC against Philippines. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
