LAKEVIEW ALL SMILES IN RETURN TO LEAGUE PLAY
CORTLAND OH- Lakeview returned to league action on Monday with a solid performance, remaining undefeated in the NE8 conference by defeating Girard 9-3.
Lakeview’s offense came out strong, led by Hailee Capan who went 2-4 with 2 RBIs. Isabella Isenberg also made an impact with a home run and 2 RBIs, while Kennedy Bartlett and Izzy Haines each contributed with an RBI. Bartlett also scored 2 runs for Lakeview.
On the mound, Isenberg delivered an impressive pitching performance, going the distance with 7 innings pitched. She allowed 7 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out an impressive 11 Girard batters, effectively shutting down their offense.
Despite the loss, Girard put up a fight, with Caylee Wilkes driving in 2 RBIs and Destiny Flaherty scoring a run.
Lakeview’s victory keeps them at the top of the NE8 standings, showcasing their strength and consistency in league play. The team’s balanced offense and dominant pitching continue to be key factors in their success this season.
