LEOPARDS STAND FIRM AGAINST ALLIANCE

LOUISVILLE OH- They had to hold back a late rally, but Louisville was able to pick up a big 7-6 win over Alliance on Wednesday. It makes the Leopards 20-1 against the Aviators in their last 21 meetings. They lead the all time series 28-6.

Matti Benson had a day to remember at the plate. She went 4-4 with 5 RBI. Shelby Mayle also put in a solid day with a 2-3 showing at the dish, and a RBI. She also scored a run. Brooke Brendle went 1-3 with a RBI. Kenzie Denzer went 1-3 with a walk, and 2 runs scored.

Kendra Thomas got the start in the circle for the Leopards. She went 4.2 IP, and gave up 3 earned runs on 6 hits. Katie Heath pitched a strong relief outing going 2.1 IP and gave up 0 runs on 2 hits, and striking out 3.

Louisville will return to action Thursday as they host Waynedale. First pitch is set for 5:00.
