LESTER TOSSES NO HITTER IN SPARTANS BLOWOUT VICTORY

Madison Lester was brilliant on the rubber on Tuesday, as Lester threw a no-hitter to lead Boardman past Firestone 22-0.

Jenna Olexa led Boardman to victory by driving in six runs. Olexa went 3-for-4 at the plate. Olexa drove in runs on a single in the first, a double in the third, and a double in the fourth.

The Spartans got on the board in the first inning. They scored two runs when Olexa singled.

Boardman notched 12 runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught came from doubles by Olexa, Nina Scavelli, Sofia Hoffman, and Katryn OHoro, singles by Hoffman, OHoro, and Dana Haus, and a walk by Samantha Hoffman.

Lester took the win for Boardman. Lester allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out 11 and walking zero.

Dies took the loss for Firestone. Dies went three innings, allowing 14 runs on ten hits and striking out two.

The Spartans totaled 18 hits. OHoro, Olexa, Haus, Lester, and Hoffman all managed multiple hits. OHoro went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead.
