LOWELLVILLE PUNCHES TICKET TO DISTRICTS IN DOUBLE OVERTIME THRILLER

LOWELLVILLE OH- Lowellville has been steadily but surely under the radar this season. Although they may not have had all the results they wanted out of the regular season, they still did more than enough to earn a top 15 seed in the division IV district. As the twelve seed, the Rockets earned one home game which they won and then had to hit the road against ninth seeded Badger. The Rockets went into Kingsman with upset on the brain, and they got it after a marathon double overtime classic. The Rockets got the 60-55 win.

Frankie Lellio led the Rockets with 16 points. She was not the only one in double figures however as she was joined by three teammates. Sammie Moore, and Savannah Procick both racked in 13. Procick was 3/5 from three point land. Lilly Coppola added 11. Lowellville hit 8 threes as a team.

The Rockets advance to the district semifinal on Wednesday. They will match up with top seeded Bristol. That game is taking place at Grand Valley High School. Tip is set for 6:00.
