POLAND BOUNCES BACK TO SECURE NE8 TITLE

POLAND OH- Poland bounced back from the previous night’s loss with a strong performance to secure the NE8 championship on Tuesday, defeating Hubbard 7-2.

The Poland offense came alive, led by Matt Paparodis, Matt Boccieri, and Joe Zuccaro. Paparodis went 1 for 3 at the plate with 2 RBIs, while Boccieri and Zuccaro each contributed 2 hits and an RBI. Carmine Tukalo and Aiden Thompson also chipped in with hits and runs scored.

On the mound, Zuccaro delivered a solid performance, pitching 6.1 innings and allowing just 1 earned run on 4 hits while striking out 5 batters.

Hubbard’s offense managed to put up a fight, with Johnny Adamson and Bobby Thompson each driving in a run. Gabe Rusnak also contributed with a hit and a walk.

However, Hubbard’s pitching struggled to contain Poland’s hitters, as Andrew Kali took the loss after allowing 2 earned runs in 1.2 innings. Matt Bobovnik provided some relief, pitching 2.2 innings and striking out 5 batters.
