RAMS RUMBLE ON TO TITLE GAME

ORWELL OH- In a stunning display of dominance, Mineral Ridge secured their spot in the district championship with an emphatic three-set sweep of Columbiana. The final scores were 25-16, 25-6, and 25-13, leaving no doubt about their superiority on the volleyball court.

Ava Hulett was nothing short of spectacular for Mineral Ridge, delivering an outstanding performance with 17 kills, 11 digs, 3 aces, and 3 blocks, earning herself a well-deserved double-double. She showcased her prowess in both offensive and defensive aspects of the game.

Faith Schneider also had a remarkable evening, contributing 16 kills, 13 digs, 4 aces, and 2 blocks, securing her double-double as well. Notably, this match marked a milestone in her career, as she reached an impressive 1,000 career digs.

Setting the stage for these incredible performances was Samantha Aulet, who dished out 42 assists, showcasing her incredible playmaking abilities. She also chipped in with 9 digs and 1 ace, proving her all-around talent.

Defensively, Sheryaliz Bonilla was rock-solid for Mineral Ridge, tallying 17 digs to ensure that Columbiana’s attacks were met with strong resistance.

On the opposing side, Ellie Jackson led Columbiana with 5 kills, 9 assists, and 3 digs. Kelsey Cameron added 3 kills to their tally, and Ava Heinrich worked tirelessly, amassing 11 digs.

With this resounding victory, Mineral Ridge now gears up for the district championship game, where they will face the formidable first-seeded Mentor Lake Catholic. The showdown is set to take place on Saturday at 7:00 at Grand Valley High School.
