DRAGONS DROP A HEARTBREAKER

RAVENNA OH- During the last few years, both Ravenna and Niles have had coaching changes.  Both started off slow but would find their rhythm in 2022-23.  Both teams met and a close game came down to the wire.  Unfortunately, the 19th seeded Red Dragons season would come to an end, losing by two points 54-52 against the  seventh seed Ravens of Ravenna.

Ravenna’s Mason Ross put 16 points on the floor and Marcus Gibson was hitting from three as he scored 10 points.  For Niles, it was Matt Kozak who scored 14 points and 11 for Keyshon Talley.  With just .5 seconds to go, Sam Perrone would miss a free throw and try to put it up but couldn’t in time as the Ravens advanced to the sectional championship against Notre Dame Cathedral Latin.  Niles, season ends and will get ready for next season.
