COLUMBIANA FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH BOB SPAITE (EP 4)

Have no worries, Clippers fans!  The Red and White are flying high again after their convincing win against Leetonia in Week 4.  Coach Spaite credits the victory to ball control and not turning over the pigskin, and looks to do the same this week to the Eagles of United.

This has all the makings for GAME OF THE WEEK with both teams playing for control of the EOAC early on in the season, and this game could have playoff ramifications as well when all is said and done.

Our Mark Franken checks in with Coach Spaite for this week’s Columbiana Coach’s Corner with Bob Spaite (EP 4.)

EAST PALESTINE FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH TONY FOSTER (EP 3)

A tough road loss to United for the Bulldogs in Week 4 put a kink in the plans to start strong in the EOAC, but the Bulldogs will look to get the train back on the track against Wellsville.  Coach Foster preached consistency in the first weeks CC, and talks about if the talking led to walking, and where the Bulldogs turn their attention back to their winning ways in Week 5.

YSN’s DJ Yokley sits down with Coach Foster to get inside the huddle and all your in-depth Bulldog coverage this week on EP Coach’s Corner with Tony Foster (EP 3.)

LEHWALD THE LEADER

The Salem Quakers are off and running in the 2018 campaign, and they have everybody in red and black with their hands on the oar.  At the front of the ship is Salem Senior Josh Lehwald, who from both sides of the football are leaving opponents wondering just “how good” is number 9?

The answer: That Good.

Humble as it gets, Lehwald transforms himself into a statistical, ball-hungry monster on the football field.  One of the qualities that will echo in Quakerville after his days are done?  His leadership.

Our Jarrod Niederhiser sits down with Salem’s Standout Receiver, Josh Lehwald to discuss the season so far, and what is still yet to come.  This week’s Salem Player Profile is: LEHWALD THE LEADER

SOUTH RANGE FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH DAN YEAGLEY (EP 4)

A tough loss against a large and in-charge Marlington team gives the South Range team a chip on their shoulder heading into game number five.  Down the road we go to Brookfield to matchup their 1-3 record against Coach Yeagley and his troops!

On this week’s Coach’s Corner, Coach Yeagley and DJ discuss the importance of win number 200 for Coach, as well as what’s the bounce-back effect after a down week?

Also, we recap the week that was and look forward to making another positive mark against Brookfield.

IT’S GOOD TO HAVE DAV’

For South Range Senior, Ryan Davenport, he’s been known best for the last 2 years for being a defensive run stopper as a defensive end, and making incredible plays on offense when called upon.  He’s become accustomed to hearing “Who’s 45?” because he’s been surrounded by such talent during the course of his high school career.  No worries, though.

Davenport has been making a name for himself under the radar.  As of this writing, Davenport is the leading receiver on the Raiders midway through the 2018 season, and given the names in the receiving corps, that’s not just any random accolade.  That’s quite the accomplishment.

Make no mistake about it, “Dav” enjoys flying underneath the radar, but sees it as a personal challenge to chisel his name into the South Range archives, and his season is bigger, stronger, faster, and better than ever before.

This week we focus on South Range’s not-so-secret weapon, their defensive end, and Y-guy, Ryan Davenport in: IT’S GOOD TO HAVE DAV

CRESTVIEW FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH PAUL CUSICK (EP 4)

When you build a program built on physicality, it’s inevitable you’re going to get every team’s best shot.  That’s exactly the predicament that Crestview finds themselves in here in 2018.  Coach Q and the boys are feeling inspired after a big game against Warren JFK.

Nothing beats a bit of home cooking to keep things going!  They say revenge is a dish best served cold, and the Rebs have some entrees on ice for Cleveland Shaw.

Will Shaw be able to fire out straight off the bus? Will the Rebels keep cooking up 60-burgers on opposing defenses?

Find out that and more on this week’s Coach’s Corner with Paul Cusick!

With the same winning mentality in place, can the Blue Devils return to state championship glory?  We’ll know first with Tyler Hoffman leading the way with all the pointed questions to Coach Mikovich.

EP’S MAN OF STEELE

It’s no surprise that there’s a buzz in Bulldogville over the success the football team has had the past few years.  East Palestine is pushing to get back to their winning ways in 2018, and after a tough open to their EOAC schedule, they look to right the ship against Wellsville.

Leading the Brown and White is a young man whose life revolved around football since he could pick one up.  EP’s Parker Sherry has been patiently waiting for his time to shine, and that time is now upon us.  Sherry is a leader and a magician on the field, but what’s even more impressive is the work he does outside the lines and in the community.

Parker prides himself on helping the younger generation of Bulldogs grow, and be excited about the game of football, and all it has to offer.

Before he makes any major announcements about his future, Sherry wants to focus in on the present.  A young man whose middle name speaks volumes in the reflection of his character, and work ethic.

DANTE’S INFERNO

A week after falling short to cross-town rival, South Range, the Crestview Rebels sparked back to life scoring over 60 points on perennial powerhouse Warren JFK.

Amidst the action on the front lines was a beast of a boy named Dante Pelino.  The Crestview Senior is built like an American Action Hero you’d see in the movies, and for the Rebels, he’s just the real-life action hero they’re looking for to ignite the rest of their season in hopes of a post-season push.
