EAST LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH JOSH LUDWIG (EP 4)

Another huge week for the Potters as they battled with their biggest rival, Beaver Local, and came away with the “W”.

They set up now for a showdown with Oak Glen in one of the greatest best matchups in the state of Ohio.  The Potters look to get back on track and fight toward their ultimate goal!

Under the tutelage of Potters from the past, this team is getting back to its winning ways in a hurry.  With the rival Bears on the docket this week, The Big Blue Wrecking Crew know one thing, and one thing only: They’re in for a fight.  If there’s one win they want more than any other, it’s this one.

Our Tommy Pease sits down with Coach Lud in our second episode of East Liverpool Coach’s Corner!

THE BIG RED MACHINE

If you have watched WWE in the last two decades, you’re undoubtedly familiar with “The Big Red Machine” that is the character, Kane.

In Beaver Local, the Kane in the backfield for Coach McKenzie is doing much of the same features of the WWE Character.  The opponent steps toward Kane, and is quickly put in their place, and sent back with their tail between their legs.  The major difference between the two is one has a finisher that is a Choke Slam, the other relies on touchdowns.

Jacob Kane has been raising all kinds of trouble for opposing sidelines this year and has his eyes firmly set on championship gold.

Our Michael McKenzie had the opportunity to catch up with the Beaver Speedster and presents the Beaver Local Player Profile: THE BIG RED MACHINE

THE MARCHIONDA EFFECT

A young man who says “Family is everything” represents the name well every time he takes the field.  However, when you’re fortunate enough to take in a game featuring Cardinal Mooney Senior Nico Marchionda, you’ll understand quickly that he puts it all on the line for his family and teammates each and every down.

Marchionda may wear the uniform of #5, but he plays like number one, and trains like he’s the second best.  His hands are incredible, his vision is outstanding, and his future is oh so bright!

Our Steve Leslie had the chance to do what nobody seems to be able to do- catch up to Nico Marchionda.  This week’s Cardinal Mooney Player Profile: THE MARCHIONDA EFFECT

CARDINAL MOONEY FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH PJ FECKO (EP 4)

If you’ve ever been inside the gymnasium at Cardinal Mooney, it serves as a constant reminder of rich winning tradition everywhere you look.  Quite literally, the walls are blanketed in championship banners from pillar to post.

The 2018 Cardinals have been tasked with adding to those walls under one of the toughest schedules in the state of Ohio.  They have yet to blink.  Sure- they want to win, but humble warriors in defeat are the most dangerous of all.

The Cards look to bounce back after a tough loss to Akron St Vincent-St. Mary’s last week, and are dialed in for Week 5!

Head Coach PJ Fecko sits down with our Steve Leslie to discuss the opportunities ahead for the Cards in this week’s Cardinal Mooney Coach’s Corner!

URSULINE FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH LARRY KEMPE (EP 4)

With a young squad, it’s imperative that a team becomes battle-tested early!  That’s exactly what Coach Kempe’s troops are doing.

It’s been a tough few weeks, but the short memories will prevail in the end.  The Irish scored a pair of touchdowns late on Saturday night, and have a great string of success on tape.

Coach Kempe sits down with YSN General Manager, Steve Leslie to discuss the X’s and O’s, and the importance of the education the kids are getting at Ursuline.

GIRARD FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH PAT PEARSON (EP 1)

It’s been a good jump to the year for the Indians of Girard, and leading them once again is Pat Pearson who looks to take advantage of the weapons at his disposal this year!

A 3-1 start means the target returns to the chest of the black and red!  YSN’s Britt Taylor sits down with Coach Pearson after a big win over Champion, and breaks down last week, and turns attention to Week 5!

All that and more on 2018’s inaugural edition of Girard Football Coach’s Corner with Pat Pearson!

COLUMBIANA FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH BOB SPAITE (EP 4)

Have no worries, Clippers fans!  The Red and White are flying high again after their convincing win against Leetonia in Week 4.  Coach Spaite credits the victory to ball control and not turning over the pigskin, and looks to do the same this week to the Eagles of United.

This has all the makings for GAME OF THE WEEK with both teams playing for control of the EOAC early on in the season, and this game could have playoff ramifications as well when all is said and done.

Our Mark Franken checks in with Coach Spaite for this week’s Columbiana Coach’s Corner with Bob Spaite (EP 4.)
