WARRIORS NEED ALL THEY GOT TO BEAT DUKES

SALEM OH-  The boys golf squad defeated Marlington 162-179 on Wednesday morning at Flying B Golf Course in Salem.  Leading the way for the Warriors was Reed Williams who shot a 39.  Also scoring for West Branch were Lane Allison (40), Jaxon Robb (41), and Dominic Brenner (42).  Landon Wilson (43) and Brant Allison also competed for West Branch.

The Warriors will take on Salem on Thursday at Salem Hills with a 4:00 PM scheduled start time.

WILDCATS SEND RIVER PACKING

EAST LIVERPOOL OH- The Edison golf team was able to beat to River at Turkana by a score of 204-224. Nicole Zullo was medalist for the match by making a birdie on the last hole to shoot 46 and best her teammate Zoe Shell by one shot.

Katie Phillips was third on the team with a 51 and Ayden Christianson had a 60. Lily Larkins also played in the match and had a score of 69. The Edison golf team would like to thank Chandler Hoppel and her family for allowing us to move our match to their golf course for at last minute change.

The Girls will play their next match on August 31 at Moundsville Country Club starting at 4:00 PM.

BEAVERS BEAT OUT WELLSVILLE IN A CLOSE ONE

EAST LIVERPOOL OH- Beaver Local’s golf team edged Wellsville in non-league play in an early Wednesday afternoon match at Cedar Hills Golf Course posting a 213 – 219 score.

Michael McKenzie shot 48 to lead the Beavers, Mikey Druschel followed with a 49, while Kristian Lantz and Mason Board shot 58. Other Beaver Local scores included Tori Druschel and Jocelyn Koontz with 64.

Wellsville’s Nate McGrew was low medalist with 45 followed by Maddox Bosco 53, Landon Ramsey 55, Tashawn Williams 66 and Johnnie Tice 68.  The Beavers are now 4-4 on the year and will host Lisbon on Thursday in a non-conference match.

SEASON LOW SCORE FUELS RAMS TO WIN

LAKE MILTON OH- Mineral Ridge shot a season low on Wednesday to help them grab another win over Jackson Milton 171-224 at Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course.

RAMS SHOOT SEASON BEST TO FINISH FIRST IN HOWLAND

WARREN OH-  At Old Avalon in Warren the Rams improved to (8-2, 3-2) on the season by shooting a season best 173, to beat Jackson Milton (181), and Howland (182). Ridge was lead by Trey Rigley 38, Jackson Geddes 43, Keaton Kucera 45, AJ Sandy 47, Chas Colantone 48, Jack Gillie 49.

Next up at ODM tomorrow vs Lowellville at 4.

POTTERS POST A WIN OVER BEAVER LOCAL

LISBON OH- East Liverpool visited Beaver Creek Meadows on Monday looking to knock off their rival Beaver Local.  Mission accomplished as the Potters came out on top 169-185. Nate Kelly took home medalist honors carding an impressive 33 on the day. Preston Dawson 41, Evan Dieringer 43, Caden Headley 52 rounded out the scoring for the Blue & White.

Michael McKenzie shot a 38 to lead the way for the Beavers. Mikey Druschel followed with a 48, Kristian Lantz 49, and Mason Board 50 for Beaver Local. East Liverpool heads to Cadiz Country Club for a quad match on Tuesday.

Beaver Local welcomes Wellsville for a home match Wednesday.

RAIN WONT STOP THE RAMS

LAKE MILTON OH- The Rams (6-2,3-2) were able to beat the rain and Jackson Milton today 175-187. Ridge was paced by Trey Rigley 38, AJ Sandy 41, Chas Colantone 48, Jackson Geddes 48, Jack Gillie 49, Hayden Lengyel 54.

Next up vs Howland tomorrow with Jackson-Milton again at Old Avalon at 10am.

ZULLO LEADS WILDCATS TO WIN WITH RECORD BREAKING ROUND

WEST LAFAYETTE OH- The Edison girls golf team defeated Ridgewood at Rivergreens Golf Course in an 18 hole match. Nicole Zullo was the medalist for the match shooting an 87. Nicole’s score of 40 on the front takes the 9 hole record school record, and the total score of 87 broke the 18 hole scoring record.

Zoe Shell was the next score for the team with a 96. Ayden Christianson was third on the team with a 106 and Katie Phillips carded a 109. The girls golf team currently has a record of 4-1 in matches this season.

BOARDMAN HANDLES FALCONS ON THE TEES

BOARDMAN OH-  The Boardman Lady Spartans beat Austintown Fitch on Wednesday 178 to 21at Mill Creek. Sophia Rivera shot a great low score of 41 for Boardman with Zoey Fick-Mills close behind with a 43. Junior Haily Rusnak shot a 45, Kate Pendleton a 49, and Emily Choleva shot a 52. Boardman plays next Monday in the JFK Invitational at Trumbull Country Club.

MINERAL RIDGE STAYS UNDEFEATED

LAKE MILTON OH- Mineral Ridge secured their third win of the season on Monday as they beat Springfield 182-196.

Trey Rigley earned the lowest score of the day for the Rams with a 37. AJ Sandy followed him up with a 49, Jack Gillie landed a 48, and Tristen Valley finished with a 50.

For Springfield, Jackson Ensley shot a 38 to lead the team.  John, and Anthony Brungard shot a 51, and 52 respectively.  Donavan McTigue rounded out the Tiger scores with a 55.

The Rams return to action Tuesday August 16th as they travel to Flying B Golf Course to take on Heartland Christian. Tee time is set for 10:00 AM.
