KOHLER’S PERFECTION PUTS RAIDERS IN CHAMPIONSHIP

Bree Kohler was perfect on the mound on Tuesday to lead South Range past Kirtland 10-0. Kohler struck out Chloe Ungrady to end the sixth, then South Range completed the run rule win in the bottom half of the inning.
In the first inning, South Range got their offense started when Kohler’s sac fly scored one run.
South Range put up three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught came from by Gretchen Bartels and an error on a ball put in play by Reagan Irons.
Kohler was the winning pitcher for the Raiders. Kohler surrendered zero runs on zero hits over six innings, striking out 15 and walking zero.
Gianna Cantini took the loss for Kirtland. The pitcher allowed 11 hits and ten runs over five and a third innings.
South Range racked up 11 hits in the game. Jamie Feren, Madison Dado, and Kelly Szolek all collected multiple hits. Szolek, Dado, and Feren each managed two hits to lead.
The Raiders stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Kohler led the way with two.
