T.G.I-FRYDA

BOARDMAN, OH- If you’ve ever met Tommy Fryda, you understand a couple of things right off the bat.  The first being that he’s a young man of few words, he lets his actions do the talking for him.  From the classroom to the pitch, to the field, and let’s not forget about the court.

The second piece of the puzzle is, he’s a “do whatever it takes” type of worker who has ice water running through his veins.  The guy who wants the ball in his hands (or foot) with the game on the line.

Well, the hardest worker in the room finally gets his day in the sun.  The Boardman Senior announced via Twitter that he is continuing his academic and sports career at the California University of Pennsylvania.  Fryda will take his booming leg and join the Vulcans this fall and his fiery personality will immediately bolster the special teams for his new squad.

We had the chance to talk to Tommy on his big day, and discuss the announcement as well as how things have been different with him with the COVID-19 topic on his doorstep.
