DURA EDGE BRUSHES OFF WHITING

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge took home a 7-4 victory over Whiting Roll-Offs on Friday night. Both teams had a high scoring 1st inning as Whiting led 4-3 after it was done. Dura Edge struck for a run in each of the next 4 innings to seal the win.

Parker Lyons has an impressive night for Dura Edge. He went 2-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Brady Shannon was productive going 3-4 with 3 runs scored and a RBI.

For Whiting, Tyler Kamerer went 1-2 with a run scored and a pair of walks. Marcus Fuller went 1-2 with a RBI. Mitch Lang walked twice and collected a RBI.

Tyler Rekich secured the win for Dura Edge on the mound. He went 5 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 5 hits. He struck out 3.

CREEKSIDE SWINGS BIG FOR THE WIN

STRUTHERS OH-

Creekside won a contest against Whiting Roll-Offs on Thursday,  6-3

 Creekside Fitness got on the board in the first inning when Tyson Tarajack grounded out, scoring one run.

Creekside pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning.  In the third Michael Patellis doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, Tarajack grounded out, scoring one run, and Mason Petridis grounded out, scoring one run.

Mason Petridis led Creekside to victory on the mound. He allowed one hit and zero runs over four and a third innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Connor Davis took the loss for Whiting. He allowed nine hits and six runs over six innings, striking out three and walking one.

 Tyler Mikulin started the game for   Creekside. He allowed six hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four

Creekside totaled nine hits.  Carmine White and Patellis each collected multiple hits.  Patellis and White each collected two hits to lead.

Whiting racked up seven hits on the day.  Grant Melder and Owen Keister all managed multiple hits.

PROSPECTS GRAB LEAD LATE TO BEAT WHITING

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects defeated Whiting 9-6 on Wednesday after taking the lead late in the game.  The game was tied at six with Prospects batting in the bottom of the sixth when Kris Hrosar singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Prospects earned the victory despite allowing Whiting to score four runs in the first inning.  Whiting’s big inning was driven by singles by Grant Melder, Nate Thomas, Owen Keister, and Sam Patton.

Whiting got things started in the first inning.  Melder drove in one when he singled.

Carter Knupp took the win for Prospects. He went three innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out two.

Grayson Hooks took the loss for Whiting. He allowed six hits and five runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one.

Prospects racked up 15 hits in the game.  Caleb Hadley, Michael Condoleon, Stephen Palmer, Knupp, and Ciminero all managed multiple hits.  Hadley led the way with three hits in four at bats.

Whiting racked up ten hits.  Thomas, Keister, and Melder each racked up multiple hits for Whiting.  Thomas went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead.

BALLISTIC GROOVES PAST WHITING

STRUTHERS OH- Ballistic Baseball has a strong finish on Tuesday to grab a 6-4 victory over Whiting Roll-Offs. Going into the 5th inning, Ballistic trailed 2-0. They scored four runs in the 5th and then scored two more in the 6th to seal their win.

Marc Conti had a productive day at the plate for Ballistic. He went 2-3 with a run scored, a walk, and 2 RBI. Jack Dascenzo went 1-2 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and a RBI.

All 4 of Whiting’s RBI’s came from hitters who didn’t record hits. Ken Lavrich, Mitch Lang, Dante Micaletti, and Braeden D’Angelo all had RBI’s without a hit. Whiting walked 10 times.

Five pitchers worked for Ballistic, but Brock Baker was given the win. He pitched an inning giving up 0 runs on a hit and struck out a batter.

WHITING DESTROYS CSA

STRUTHERS OH-

Nothing came easy for CSA on Thursday, as they fell 16-0 to Whiting Roll-Offs.

One bright spot for CSA was a double by Noah Adamson in the second inning.

Joey Pugh got the start for Whiting. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out three and walking one.

John  Darnley was on the hill for CSA. He surrendered eight runs on four hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one. 

Adamson, and Andrew Brown all had one hit to lead CSA.

Whiting racked up 12 hits.  Grant Melder, Ben Miller, Nick Thomas and Owen Keister each collected multiple hits.  Grant led Whiting with three hits in four at bats.

PROSPECTS PILLAGE WHITING

STRUTHERS OH- It was all Prospects in their game against Whiting Roll-Offs on Wednesday. Prospects scored four in the 1st, and then spread three more runs through the rest of the game. They scored 7 runs on 13 hits and held Whiting to 0 runs on 4 hits.

Luca Bertolasio has a tremendous day for Prospects. He went 4-4 with 2 RBI. Jake Hettrick went 1-3 with a walk a run scored and 2 RBI. Zach Macik went 3-4 with 2 runs scored.

For Whiting, Mitch Lang went 2-2 with a walk. Ken Lavrich went 1-3.

Jack Liepheimer got the win on the rubber for Prospects. He went 6 innings giving up 0 runs on 4 hits. He struck out a pair.

WHITING ROLL-OFFS FORCE TIE WITH FALCONS

STRUTHERS OH-

Whiting Roll-Offs and Astro Falcons played to a 5-5 tie on Tuesday. Whiting tied the game on a single in the seventh inning.

In the first inning, The Falcons got their offense started when Jake Schneider’s sac fly scored one run.

Whiting put up four runs in the fifth inning.  They scored their runs on a double by Ben Miller.

Owen Keister, Ben Kern, Miller, and Grayson Hooks all had one hit to lead Whiting.

Astro Falcons totaled nine hits.  Schneider, Bo Fornatado, and Ryan DiLullo each collected multiple hits.

WHITING GIVES BALLISTIC THE BLUES

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs scored three runs right off the bat on Monday. Three runs were all they would need as their pitching held Ballistic Baseball to 2 runs. They got themselves out of a lot of trouble, as Ballistic had 10 hits on the night.

For Whiting’s offense, Chase Tomko went 1-2 with a walk and a RBI. Ethan Bintrim mirrored those numbers going 1-2 with a walk and a RBI. Brandon Hink went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.

Dustin Horn has a perfect day at the plate for Ballistic. He went 3-3 with 2 runs scored. Patrick Copple went 2-3. Koby Zupko collected the lone RBI for Ballistic.

Jake Vitale got the win for Whiting on the mound. He went 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 8 hits. He struck out 7 and walked 1.

WHITING SILENCES CREEKSIDE OFFENSE

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs had a tremendous effort on the mound Sunday in a 4-0 shutout of Creekside. Whiting scored two in the 2nd and then added two more insurance runs in the 6th. They held Creekside to 0 runs on 6 hits.

For Whiting, Gavin Wooley went 1-2 with 2 RBI. Cre Calabria went 2-3 with 1 RBI. Ben Dottie walked 3 times and scored a run.

Creekside’s offense struggled, but Nick Flemming went 2-2. Grant Voytovich went 1-3.

Brendon Hink got the win on the mound for Whiting. He went 5 innings giving up 0 runs on 6 hits. He struck out 5.

WHITING GETS BACK TO WINNING

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs got themselves back to .500 on Friday with a 10-8 win over Creekside. Whiting found themselves down 6-0 in the bottom of the 2nd, but managed to put up five to get back in the game. Two in the 3rd and three in the 4th gave Whiting enough push for a 10-8 victory.

Eddie Lutton has a productive day for Whiting. He went 1-2 with a run scored, a walk, and 3 RBI. Mitch Lang went 2-3 with 2 runs scored, and a RBI.

For Creekside, Andrew Sallipo went 1-1 with a walk and 2 RBI. Devin Gruver went 1-2 with a RBI. Jayden Maggs went 1-3 with a RBI.

Braeden D’Angelo got the win on the mound for Whiting. He went 3 innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits. He struck out a pair.
