WHITING SURVIVES LATE RALLY

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs has to survive a furious 7th inning rally from Eagle Wear to win 5-4. Whiting carries a 5-0 lead into the 7th, scoring three insurance runs in the 6th. It ended up being just enough to hold off Eagle Wear.

Cre Calabria went 1-1 for Whiting with a RBI. Chase Tomko went 1-3 with a RBI. JA Quahliero went 1-2 with a walk, and a run scored.

Ricky Enlow has a good day for Eagle Wear. He went 1-3 with a walk and 2 RBI. Matt Womer went 2-3 with a run scored.

Zach Phillis got the win toeing the rubber for Whiting. He went 5 innings giving up 0 runs on 3 hits. He struck out 6.

PROSPECTS EARN HARD FOUGHT WIN

STRUTHERS OH- Prospects and Whiting Roll-Offs found themselves in a pitching duel on Tuesday. Prospects scored a run in the 5th to take a lead. Whiting ties things up in the 7th, but the Prospects answered right back and won 2-1.

Jeremy Kreuzwieser went 2-4 for Prospects with a RBI. Nick Osborne went 1-1. Michael Galterio went 1-3.

JA Quahliero went 1-3 with a RBI for Whiting. Gabe Yanssens went 2-3 with an impressive day at the plate. Tyler Kamerer went 1-2 with a walk.

Kreuzwieser started the game for Prospects. He went 6 innings, giving up 1 run on 6 hits. He struck out 5.

Logan Exler pitches well for Whiting. He went 6 innings giving up 0 earned runs on 5 hits. He struck out 5.

WHITING SWEEPS THE NIGHT

STRUTHERS OH-

CSA watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 15-4  Whiting Roll-Offs on Monday. Whiting scored on a double by Grant Melder, a single by Will Gubba, and a triple by Derek Curry in the first inning.

The CSA struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Whiting giving up 15 runs.

Whiting opened up scoring in the first inning.  Melder drove in one when he doubled.

CSA put up four runs in the fourth inning.  Batters contributing to the big inning included Isaiah Torres and Trent Porter, all driving in runs in the frame.

Whiting scored five runs in the fourth inning.  Batters contributing to the big inning included Derek Cury, Corbin Sevcik, and Grayson Hooks, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Joey Pugh was on the mound for Whiting. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking zero.

Shaun Updegraff started the game for CSA. He allowed four hits and four runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one.  John  Darnley, Carson Fuller, Nick Kyprianou, and Andrew Brown each entered the game as relief, throwing one inning, one inning, one inning, and one-third of an inning respectively.

Torres led CSA with two hits in three at bats.

Whiting racked up 12 hits on the day.  Cury, Sevcik, and Gubba all collected multiple hits for  Whiting.  Cury went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead. 

WHITING USES LATE BURST TO BEAT PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH-

Whiting Roll-Offs defeated Prospects 7-1 on Monday after taking the lead late in the game.  The game was tied at one with Whiting batting in the bottom of the fourth when an error scored two runs.

Whiting secured the victory thanks to four runs in the fifth inning.  Roll Offs offense in the inning was led by Ben Kern, Owen Keister, and Derek Curry, all driving in runs in the frame.

Whiting pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning.

Whiting notched four runs in the fifth inning.  The offensive firepower was led by Kern, Keister, and Curry, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Kern got the win for Whiting. He lasted four innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out six.  Grayson Hooks threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Coby Airwikie toed the rubber for Prospects. He allowed seven hits and six runs over four innings, striking out four.  Stephen Palmer and Anthony Marimpietri entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Whiting tallied nine hits.  Will Gubba and Kern all had multiple hits.  Kern and Gubba each collected two hits.

EAGLE WEAR WEARS OUT WHITING

STRUTHERS OH- Eagle Wear found themselves in a battle on Sunday against Whiting Roll-Offs. Whiting started the game up 1-0, then Eagle Wear scores three in the 2nd to go up 3-1. Whiting responded with three in the 3rd making it 4-3. Prospects for the last laugh though with two in the fourth and got the win 5-4.

Anthony Caruso went 2-3 for Eagle Wear with a run scored and a RBI. Cal Rink went 1-2 with a run scored, a walk, and a RBI.

Dante Micaletti has a good day for Whiting going 3-3. He scored a run and collected 2 RBI. Ken Lavrich went 1-2 with a walk and a RBI.

Jake Papagallo earned the win for Eagle Wear. He went 5 innings giving up 3 earned runs on 10 hits. He struck out 6.

ASTRO FALCONS CONTINUE TO SHINE

STRUTHERS OH- The Astro Falcons continued their dominance of Class B on Sunday with a 5-0 win over Whiting Roll-Offs. The Falcons offense spread out their five runs between the 3rd and 6th innings. Their pitching held Whiting to only one hit.

Luke Jackson collected 2 RBI for the Falcons. He walked once. Greg Johnson went 2-3. Phil Fox walked 3 times.

Chase Tomko got the only hit for Whiting going 1-3. Ethan Bintrum walked.

Andrew Russel got the impressive win for the Falcons. He threw 6 no hit innings striking out 7 and walking a pair.

 

WHITING WASHES OUT KNIGHTLINE

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs used early offense to help them establish a sizable lead on Knightline. Some late insurance runs kept Knightline at bay and Whiting came away with a 8-3.

Chase Tomko went 1-2 for Whiting with a walk and 3 RBI. Tyler Kamerer went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.

For Knightline, Brett Bobin went 1-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Vince Sciortino went 2-3 with a run scored.

Jake Vitale got the win on the rubber for Whiting. He went 6 innings and gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 5.

WHITING RAMBLES THROUGH ROTH BROTHERS

STRUTHERS OH- Whiting Roll-Offs scored early and often on their way to a 10-4 victory over Roth Brothers on Thursday. An impressive offensive showing they were up 7-2 after 3 innings.

Chase Tomko went 2-3 for Whiting with 4 RBI. Brendon Hink went 1-1 with 2 walks and a run scored. He also contributed a RBI.

For Roth Brothers, Eli Snider went 2-3 with 2 RBI and a run scored. Caelen Bender went 1-2 with a walk and a run scored.

Logan Exler got the win on the bump for Whiting. He went 4 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 3 hits. He struck out a pair.

WHITING ROLL-OFFS TAKE CARE OF AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- The Whiting Roll-Offs didn’t need too much offense to beat the Avalanche. They used timely hitting to score just enough to support an awesome pitching performance in a 4-1 win.

Dante Micaletti went 1-4 with 2 RBI for the Roll-Offs. Ken Lavrich went 2-2 with a walk and a RBI.

Ethan Mannon had the lone RBI for Avalanche. He walked. Devin Daniels went 1-1 with a walk.

Braeden D’Angelo got the win on the mound for Whiting. He went 3 innings, gave up 1 earned run and just 2 hits. He struck out 4.

Nick Ondo went 4 innings for Avalanche. He struck out 8. Giving up 3 earned runs on 6 hits.

ASTRO FALCONS START STRONG AND DONT LOOK BACK

STRUTHERS OH- Things we’re looking bright for Whiting Roll-Offs on Wednesday as they put up a 4 spot in the top of the 1st against Astro Falcons. But that feeling went away fast when the Falcons answered with 7 in the bottom of the inning. The Falcons scored four more in the 2nd on their way to a 14-6 victory.

Tino Campoli went 3-4 for the Falcons with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Patrick Sullivan went 1-1 with a walk, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.

Kevin Lavrich went 1-1 for Whiting, with 2 walks, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI. Braeden D’Angelo went 1-3 with RBI.

William Morrow got the win for the Falcons. He pitched 4 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits and striking out 6.
