WARRIORS FALL SHORT IN WARREN

Warren, OH- In a hard-fought physical battle in the district semifinals of the OHSAA playoffs, the Edgewood Warriors squared off against the Notre Dame Cathedral Latin Lions, ultimately falling short with a final score of 46-70.

Despite a valiant effort by the Warriors, led by standout performances from Logan Kray and Jacob Ernst, they were unable to overcome the talented Notre Dame Cathedral Latin Lions. Kray led the Warriors in scoring with 17 points, followed closely by Ernst with 15 points. However, the Lions’ strong defensive presence and balanced scoring attack proved to be too much for the Warriors to handle.

On the Lions’ side, Connor Hernan led the charge with 17 points, supported by Angelo Tamburrino with 14 points and Brendan Hernan with 10 points. The Lions’ depth and versatility on offense allowed them to maintain control of the game and secure the victory.

While the Warriors’ season comes to an end with this loss, they can look back on a season filled with impressive achievements and memorable moments. Notably, senior Jacob Ernst reached the remarkable milestone of 1,000 career points, highlighting his exceptional contributions to the team throughout his high school career.

As for the Lions, they will now advance to the district championship game to face the Ursuline Fighting Irish. The Irish are coming in off of an impressive 30 point win over the Streetsboro Rockets in their last game.
