18U- RUSSELL TOSSES ONE-HITTER, FALCONS FLY OVER DURA EDGE

STRUTHERS, OH- Andrew Russell continues to shine this season in Class B, but that’s no surprise if you follow this young man for any length of time.  Russell took the mound on Friday and was outstanding allowing only a single hit in four innings of work against Dura Edge in a 10-0 victory.

The offense was sparked early with runs in each of the first four innings.  The Astro Falcons (8-1) scored three runs in all but the second inning where they had a single tally.  Leading the way was Bryce Warwick with a 2-3 night, driving in three runners.  Kevin Vaupel accounted for a pair of runs personally, and also drove in a pair.  Russell also drove in a run to help his own cause.  Chase Franken and Vince Armeni each had 2 stolen bases on the night.
