ASTRO OVERPOWERS THEIR WAY TO A WIN

STRUTHERS OH- Wednesday night at Bob Cene Park, the Astro Falcons lit up the scoreboard, cruising to a 15-7 win over Avalanche in Class B 18U action.

Jacob Hayes snagged the win for Astro, pitching five innings and giving up four runs (two earned) on three hits, with three Ks and three walks. Owen Dye took the loss for Avalanche, getting tagged for nine runs on seven hits over four innings.

Brady Alexander nearly hit for the cycle, smashing a single, double, and triple, driving in four runs, and scoring twice. Aair Fox had a monster game with three hits, including a triple, three RBIs, and four runs scored. Creed Erdos chipped in with an RBI double among his two hits and crossed the plate twice, while Michael Gunn, Jr. delivered a clutch two-run single. Brady Miller and Jay Wrona each had a hit, with Miller scoring three times and Wrona adding a pair of runs.

For Avalanche, Carter Dejulia led the charge with two hits and two RBIs. Grayson Eicher hit an RBI double and scored a run. The Falcons’ bats were just too hot to handle, sealing the deal on a dominant victory.
