AVALANCHE ANSWER THE CALL

STRUTHERS OH- Avalanche snagged a strong W on Thursday in 16U action at Bob Cene Park, taking down 3B Barons 6-1. They set the tone early, dropping 5 runs in the first inning and never looked back.

Layne Rider led the charge, going 2-4 with 2 RBIs and scoring a run. Henry Biggs-DeSantis chipped in with an RBI, going 1-4 and scoring once. Brody Dewberry had a perfect night at the plate, going 2-2, while Jayden Amos added to the offensive firepower, going 2-3 and crossing the plate twice.

Rider was also solid on the mound, throwing 4 innings, allowing just 1 run on 4 hits, and striking out 4. It was a total team effort, with Avalanche’s bats coming alive early and Rider shutting down the Barons to secure the win.
