BARONS DRAW EVEN IN FIRST PLACE

STRUTHERS OH- In a showdown that was all about big hits and solid pitching, the 3B Barons took down the Prospects 9-2 in 18U Class B Baseball action, tying them with the Astro Falcons for first place in the standings.

Ryan Peikutoski led the charge with three hits, including a double, an RBI, and a run. Joey Pugh added two hits, including a double, and scored twice. Nick Thomas was clutch with a double, a triple, and two RBIs. Mike Delduca chipped in with two hits and a run.

Delduca was also solid on the mound, pitching five innings, giving up just three hits and no runs while striking out one.

For the Prospects, Dominic Santee managed two hits, but it wasn’t enough to match the Barons’ firepower.
